First Sick Doctor's Appointment

I woke up this morning with a very swollen right eye. Mommy was hoping it was just allergies and would go down, but no such luck. I ended up having to go to the doctor for the first time for a non-checkup. Mommy said she has to count her blessing that I haven't been sick enough to go to the doctor before now and even now it wasn't too serious. The doctor is treating me for a skin infection around my eye called periorbital cellulitus, which actually could have become serious if gone untreated. I have to take some yummy antibiotics twice a day for 10 days. Mommy also decided to start me on some other stuff to keep my tummy and bottom from getting too messed up. The worst thing about all of this was that I had to miss my last storytime for a while this morning. They don't have the age specific storytimes in the summer :(. Oh well, I guess I would have gotten a lot of looks if I showed up to storytime looking like this.

Not much going on here. I did enjoy spending the day with Pop and Lolli, hope ya'll have a wonderful trip to Alaska. Daddy has been really busy studying for some test. Can't wait tell he is done with his test and he can play with me more. My new favorite phrase for this week is "Oh, Gosh." I am also saying all done, shoes, socks, blanky, come on, brush teeth, night night, ahh man (from Dora), and will try to repeat anything. I am getting pretty good at following directions like going to get a ball or book and going to the bathroom when asked if I am ready for a bath. I like to give hugs and have been really kissy and snuggly lately, Mommy is loving it. I also love to get out of the house and do things. Last week I brought Momma her shoes and said "come on, lets go bye bye." Next week is the last week for Mother Goose storytime :(. I guess we will have to find other things to do. I am very glad it is getting warmer and we will be able to do more things outside.

This is what happens when Daddy is watching me while Mommy takes a nap before work. I thought it was neat to take all the balls out of the ball pit. I did put them all back when I was done though.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Mine was great. I went to both grandparent's house, got some great presents, ate some yummy food, and had fun hunting eggs. Here are some fun Easter pictures and others from the past week.

Playing with the tea set I got for Easter. I was amazed at how easy it was to get Pawpaw and Uncle Jay to play tea party with me. I haven't perfected my pouring skills yet, but I am working on it.

Mommy was so excited to finally be able to get my hair into a ponytail. Daddy said it is his favorite hairstyle so far.

This is a picture of the dove that has built a nest outside our front door. The attacked Daddy the other morning. He at first wanted to knock the nest down, but then felt bad because we think they may have some eggs. We are going to wait and see. Hopefully, we will have some baby doves soon.

Happy Belated Birthday Aunt Ra Ra! I had fun spending the whole day with you. Thanks for helping to blow up my ball pit.

Me and Mommy have been going to storytime at the library. I really enjoy all the great stories and fun music. I even participate more then my mommy thought I would. Grandma is going to take me tomorrow since Momma has to work tonight.

My daddy was in Nashville all weekend, I missed him so much. Me and Mommy hung out all weekend and had a girls night with friends Saturday night.

I have really been talking and singing a lot lately. Mommy said she can't even keep up with all the words I have learned to say. I have started counting this week. I more or less just throw out random numbers, but at least I am learning them.
