I actually wanted to go see Santa this year. I have been scared of him up until this point and said I would cry if anyone took me to see him. Mommy was so glad I wanted to go so took me to see him at the movie theatre and than we got to watch Elf on the big screen! It was great. Unfortunately, Mommy and I were in a wreck the day before and she was still pretty upset. On the way to see Santa, I told her that she had to stop crying because she was going to make Santa sad. Mommy thought that was funny and it made her laugh and smile. Can't wait for christmas!

4th Birthday!!

I am now 4 years old! I had a great party at A Play Place. My mom was a little worried about how the turnout would be since it was the week before Christmas. Luckily I had a lot of my friends there, maybe around 20 kids. Thanks everyone for coming!! My mommy and Mrs. Holly made me a yummy strawberry cake and some cake pops. We also had cookies and fruit in ice cream cones. After the party, we went to Lolli and Pops for lunch with the family. It was a great day!

October Birthday Parties

I went to 2 very fun birthday parties this month. The first was one of my best friend's, Ella's, party. She had a messy art party. Very creative and fun. We did all kinds of painting and even got our faces painted. Was great!! Happy 5th Birthday Ella!!!

The 2nd party, was a friend from my class and his brothers' party. Micah is a twin and also has an older brother. They all celebrated together. It was a great outdoor fall party. We did pumpkin races and just played outside. The weather was great! Mommy said that Micah thinks I am so cute and has been wanting me to come over for a while. He was so excited I made it to his birthday party and I was so glad to be there.

Fall Carnival

I saw the carnival being set up next to my school and begged Mommy to go. We ended up going on Sunday and it was sooooooo fun!!!!! There were actually 2 different carnivals. The 1st one mostly had inflatables and trunk-or-treat. All my friends were there and made it fun. The other one had all the rides. Mommy can't ride things that go in circles, so Daddy rode everything with me. Great time!

Fall Break

This week was fall break, so there was no school on Monday. Instead Mommy took me to the Children's Theater and we saw Cinderella. I thought it was very neat to see characters up close and watch a live movie. The next day we went to Bud's Best Cookie Factory! It was mostly Mommy's work friends and their kids, but Mrs. Mary couldn't make it so Mrs. Holly, Ella, and Claire came instead. We had a great time learning how the cookies are made. We even go to eat some warm fresh made cookies! YUM!! You ride a cookie train through the factory, which is very cool. We all loved it!

I finally got to spend the night with my Aunt RaRa! It was a blast. She had so many fun activities for us to do together. When Mommy dropped me off, we started off the fun with a tea party. This was the only thing Mommy also got to do with us. Here are some pictures. Can't wait for many more slumber parties!

Family Fun Day

We decided to have some fun just as a family. We went over to Treehouse Adventures and spent the afternoon. I had my first golfing experience. Daddy tried to show me how to swing and get the ball in the hole. It still took me about 10 shots per hole, but was very fun. We also got to ride go-karts, play arcade games, and play in the indoor treehouse. Mommy didn't take very many pictures, but here is one. It was a great afternoon. I hope to go back soon!

Saturday afternoon was Tony and Terra's wedding. I got dressed up and Mommy braided my hair. The wedding was beautiful and I loved it being on the beach. Mommy again had to take some more beach picture after the wedding when I was all dressed up.

This is how my hair looked after taking the braids out. Everyone thought it was cute. Mommy says she wants to put small braids in overnight and see how it turns out.

We went to the beach this past weekend! We went for Tony and Terra's Wedding, but went down a couple of days early to enjoy the beach some. I loved it! I rode down with Lolli, Pop, and Cooka. They said I was very good in the car. Mom and Dad came down a little later after work. By the time they got there I was so pumped up and excited. I gave them a very enthusiastic tour of our spectacular condo. Mommy wishes she would have video taped how incredibly happy/excited I was. It was a great weekend! The weather was perfect and we did so many fun things. Can't wait to go back!

Back to Ballet

I am so excited that dance class has finally started back. I have Mrs. Beth again!!! Love her! I also have several friends in my class. Claire, Ella, and Caroline will all be dancing with me and I am sure I will also make some new friends. We were running a few minutes late to the first class, when I got there all my friends yelled hey to me. It kinda disrupted the class but made me feel very welcome. Mommy said she was shocked to see that this year I am one of the "big" girls in the class. Last year I was one of the smallest. She said she couldn't believe how big I have gotten and how grown up I seem after just one year. Mrs. Beth even commented on me being grown up. It is going to be a great year! Can't wait to see what songs we will be dancing to and what our costumes will look like.

A new friend in my class at school invited me to her birthday party. Her name is Lauren like Mommy's name, but everyone calls her Lulu. Her birthday party was a very elegant tea party. I had a great time and it was fun getting to know Lulu better.

We got to get all dressed up! Notice my hat, gloves, and boa. E-Maw had to find some old hats for me to choose from. This was mine and Mommy's favorite.

After dancing, learning how to do a princess wave, and balloon characters, Cinderella painted my face.

This was such a fun party. On our way home, I was asking Mommy all sorts of questions about Cinderella and how she got to the party. I said, "Doesn't Cinderella live in her castle?" Mommy said yes, so then I asked if her Castle was here. Mommy said no, so then I asked if Cinderella had to ride on a plane to come to the party. Mommy said probably so and that we will get to go see her castle in a couple of months. I can't wait to go to Disney!

School

I started school last week!! I love it! I actually didn't even want my mom to take me, I wanted to ride the bus like the big kids. Mommy said that I could when I got a little bigger and started at the big school. My parents were surprised to see all the different things I get to do at school. I have Mrs. Bree as my main teacher. My music teacher is Mrs. Beth and I actually also have a social studies teacher, Mrs. Pier. I go to chapel on Wednesdays too! They also offer computer, PE, piano, dance, and some other extracurricular activities. Mommy said that maybe next year I could take one of those. I start back to dance after labor day. This is going to be such a fun year!

Finally, Amelia came for a visit!!! We have been waiting 5 months to see her. She was totally worth the wait and absolutely adorable. Me and Mommy went and played with her one afternoon. Babies can be exhausting...I ended up napping while she napped for a while. Then we played some more! So, how cute is she?!?!

I actually got to hold her all by myself, but ended up accidentally letting her fall over when I was through. Oops!

Later in the week, the whole group got together for dinner. Couldn't get a picture with all of eyes open or all looking at the camera but cute to have us all together anyway.

Bailey Bug's Birthday!!!

Remember Bailey from the day at the lake with Daddy's work friends? Well, we got invited to her Birthday Party! Everyone calls her Bailey Bug, so that is what I call her too. We had a blast! It was the first gymnastics party I have been to. It took me a few minutes to warm up and be brave enough to try some of the equipment, but after I did it was great! My favorite was the trampoline and balance beam.

Last Friday was E-Maw's Birthday. We had a extra fun day because my cousins were in town. We went bowling. This was my first bowling experience. I had great time! I really didn't care about the score it was just a good time. For some reason, I was more into making funny faces after my turn.

4th of July!!

4th of July is a pretty cool holiday. I love fireworks or as I use to call them "star crackers." We went over to Lolli and Pop's for some yummy dinner and some sparklers and pop things that you throw on the ground. I love those pop things! After that me and Mommy went to the park and watched the firworks show with some friends. Loved it!

Summer Fun!

We have been having loads of fun this summer! I have lost count how many times we have gone to Alabama Adventure. I love going there this year because I am actually tall enough to ride some of the rides. My favorites are the kid roller coaster, the rafting ride, and the log ride. We also go to lunch with friends often, to the McWane center a couple of times, to the movies, and to several shows at the library. What a great summer this is turning out to be.

Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to all of those wonderful Daddies out there! And a special Happy Father's Day to my Daddy and my Grandfathers!

A couple of nights before father's day we went to eat with Lolli, Pop, Cooka and Brent. We went to one of those Japanese restaurants that cook in front of you, love it!

E-Maw was out of town, so we had to make father's day a little special for Pawpaw so he wouldn't miss her too much. We made homemade pizzas on the grill! Daddy use to work at a pizza place called Fox's Pizza, so he was the pro. We had a lot of fun!

One of my Daddy's good friends got married on Saturday! You know how I love weddings! The princess/bride looked gorgeous! Daddy and his friends were all groomsman and looked handsome. I love getting dressed up and having fun. The music at the reception wasn't exactly what I am use to dancing to, but it was fun anyway. Congrats!

I guess my recital song inspired my mom to get my haircut. I got 6 inches cut off!! I was sitting in Mommy's lap facing her while they were cutting it. After they finished, they turned me around to see it and I completely fell apart. I hated it! I wanted my long hair back. I cried and cried. Mommy took me to get a milkshake to calm me down. A hour and several complements later it started to grow (no pun intended) on me. It was also a surprise to my Pawpaw on his birthday, but he liked it. By the next morning, I loved it! It is a great summer do and easier to wash and brush. I guess it was just the initial shock. What do you think?

Elephants!!

Yes, I know most zoo's have elephants, but the Birmingham Zoo just got a new African exhibit with new elephants. I really liked them, but the Zebra is still my favorite. We had a great day at the zoo with Mrs. Holly, Gavin, Addison, Mrs. Mary, and Laci. We all loved the animals, but may have liked the water area even better.

Easter is such a fun and wonderful holiday! We have been celebrating for over a week now. I have become a pro at finding eggs. Here are a few pictures from some of the hunts I have participated in.

The Easter Bunny was really good to me this year. He brought me all the princess barbies! I love them. He even brought me things to both of my grandparent's houses.

Fashion Show and Movie Night!

Saturday I got to be a model in a fashion show for Belk! I was so excited and have been practicing my walk for a couple of weeks. Everyone came to see me and they all said I did a wonderful job. Maybe I will get to do it again soon. Later that night, we went over to a friends house for movie night. They have an outdoor movie screen and played Tangled for everyone! It was so fun and cool to watch a movie outside.

Rich and Suzanna's Wedding!!

This past weekend we went to Dallas, TX for my cousin's wedding. I of course loved riding on the airplane again and seeing all of my extended family. Everything for the wedding was just perfect! The rehearsal dinner was amazing. If you would have seen the kid's meal you would have known how wonderful the regualar meal must have been. I actually got to stay in the church and watch the wedding (one of my parents usually stay outside with me because I tend to talk a lot). I was very quiet and they said that I may be able to stay and watch more wedding if I can keep it up. The reception was lovely. The cake may have been the best cake I have ever had. Eventhough everything was spectacular, the dancing was still probably what I looked forward to the most! Love you guys! Congrats!!!

For Valentine's Day me and Mommy let Daddy sleep in while we made a Valentine for him. We also made one for Lolli and Pop and for E-Maw and Pawpaw. I wanted it to sparkle so we used some sparkle makeup, it worked very well. I even kissed the paper to leave some lip prints.

After dance class we got to pass out Valentine's to our friends. I loved all the candy and I even got a Strawberry Shortcake coloring book!

We finally get our new camera cord in and so can now post some pictures from the last month.

A couple of Saturday's ago it was absolutely beautiful, so we decided to go to the Zoo!! Uncle Wally went with us and we had an excellent time. I guess the weather also had a positive affect on the animals, because they were very active which was fun to see. Here are some pictures of our trip to the zoo.

Here is a short video of the wallabies. It was kinda funny that the small squirrels would steal the food and completely dominate them. On squirrel even hit a wallaby in the face.

We are in the middle of "Winter Storm 2011" here! Mostly just ice, but still fun. We went over to Mike and Emily's today. We attempted to make a snow man or "ice" man but it didn't end up very big. The best part was sledding! Thanks Mike for letting us use your sled and for sledding and building the snow man with me. Poor Daddy is stuck at work and we really miss him.

So as most of you know, I really don't care for Santa. After seeing all the gifts he brought me and the fact that he came while I was asleep and I didn't have to see him, I have somewhat had a change of heart. I don't mind him so much, I just don't want to see him.

I got so many great presents from everyone. I even got to the point where I said I had plenty of gifts and didn't need to open anymore. Crazy I know.

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful holiday season! We were very busy, so I haven't been very good at keeping up the blog. I will try to catch up but it will take a few post.

Christmas Eve I came down with a cold that lasted through Christmas. I ran a fever and had a very runny/raw nose, so you may notice my handy wipe in a lot of the pictures. Despite being sick, I managed to have a great time.

We started off Christmas Eve at E-Maw and Pawpaw's house for a yummy lunch. We then went out to eat with Cooka, Lolli, Pop, Uncle John, Aunt Kerrye, Barry, Tony, Mommy and Daddy. After dinner we went over to Cooka's to open presents and have dessert. I got a new reading game that I just love. I also got some awesome play food that you can actually cut apart and it will go back together.

I just love my new puppy dog, Cooper. I think he is so precious. Him and Dakota are starting to become pals too. I don't think Dakota was too crazy about having another dog in the house at first, but now she like to play with him. My parents are very excited that he sleeps through the night and knows how to use the bathroom outside. He has had a couple little accidents in the kitchen, but they say he is just a baby and is doing very well to be so little. He got a good report at the Vet yesterday and they said he weighs 12lbs 8oz. I can't wait to play with him more and more as he gets bigger.

Friday was my 3rd Birthday! We went to see Tangled at the theatre. I love watching movies and also love me some popcorn. Later we went to dinner and then went to look at Christmas lights. When we go home, I had one present to open and it was the Despicable Me dvd. I think the Minions are adorable and funny. We watched the movie and then went to bed. Saturday was my big Birthday Party! Everyone came over to E-Maw and Pawpaw's to celebrate with me. Look for my surprise present towards the end of this post. Thanks everyone for coming and for all my awesome gifts!

Today was my Christmas party at dance class. It was fun and we had some yummy food. Mrs. Beth gave us a pretty star ornament. She said we don't have class again until next year! That sounds like a long time, but Mommy said it was only a few weeks. Hope all my friends from class have a wonderful Christmas!

So, we finally decorated for Christmas this year. Not finally got around to decorating this year, but finally decorated for the 1st time since I was born. Yes, we know this is a very sad fact. However, we did get the decorations up early and had them done the weekend after Thanksgiving. In any case, I am very excited about it and love all the decorations. If you come see me the tree will be the first thing I show you. I just love it and make my parents turn the lights on all the time. I hope they keep working through Christmas.

The only thing I don't like about Christmas is Santa. I refuse to go see him and sit in his lap, and have threatened to cry if someone makes me. I don't even want him to bring me gifts, because I don't want him in my house. I even went as far as to say that I didn't need any presents. Mommy told me that he can just give the presents to her and she will bring them in the house, I guess I am ok with that.

Mommy and Daddy went on a trip to Gatlinburg with some friends the weekend before Thanksgiving. I stayed with E-Maw and Pawpaw. I had fun with them, but missed my parents. I am glad they had a nice weekend away though. Here are some pictures from their trip.

A couple of weeks ago we went to a Kindermusik class with Mrs. Holly, Mrs. Mary, Gavin, Laci, and Addison. They class was great and I loved getting to see everyone. We went to eat lunch at Chick-fil-A afterwards and play in the play area. Me and Gavin pretended to be Mommy and Daddy and Addison was our baby, not sure that Daddy really cared for that too much. Can't wait to get together again.

Mommy had the best birthday ever!!!! We went to Disney on Ice! It was excellent! Eventhough the show was mostly about princesses, I think I may have liked seeing Mickey and Minnie the best. Before the show, I said that Mickey was about to come out. Mommy said she wasn't sure if Mickey would be there since it was a princess show. When Mickey did come out I yelled, "Mommy, I told you I told you!" I just loved it. What a great birthday! I can't wait for my birthday next month!

Today Mommy got to come watch me in dance class. She was really impressed with everything I have learned in 2 months. I love dance class and can't wait for my recital in a few months.

In one of the tap videos I get a little excited about the air guitar and forget to do anything else. Oh well, all things I can improve on. All in all I think I am doing really well for only being 2.

Halloween was very busy and fun! We started off the festivities with my dance class Halloween party on Thursday.

Saturday, I got to go trick or treating. We started off with a trial run at Lolli and Pop's. I had a great time as long as the houses didn't have too many scary decorations.

Trick or treating was fun, but I still like giving out the candy better.

By the end of the night I decided to join a new family. I like the idea of having a big brother. Mommy said not to get my hopes up though, apparently you can't have a big brother when you are born first.

Sunday night we went to E-maw and Pawpaw's for their annual Halloween party. I had a wonderful time, but still not so sure about all the decorations. I love seeing Cassi and Kara!

Las Vegas!

Las Vegas was AWESOME! I had a blast. I did great on the plane rides and mostly just slept. Once in Vegas we were constantly busy seeing all the sights and having tons of fun! I hope to go back again on day.

Day 1-

The first night we ended up staying in the Flamingo hotel because of a mix up at Caesars Palace. Since they messed up our room they treated us to the room at the Flamingo and to some perks once we checked in at Caesars. They upgraded our room, gave us some free food and drinks, and even gave Mommy and Lolli some passes to the spa! Mommy really enjoyed the spa and said they even had a room there where it snowed! Too bad I was too little to go. The Flamingo was also very nice. They had a Flamingo habitat that was neat.

Day 2-

Day 4-

The M&M store was 4 floors of M&M things including a 3D movie we got to watch. This is the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign made out of M&Ms.

I called the green M&M the "mommy" one.

The only slot machine they would let me play with. I loved all the lights and noises all the machines in the hotels made, but they kept telling me they were for big people. Not sure why they would make something so intriguing to little ones like me if it is only meant for big people.

The Coca-Cola store was right next to the M&M store. I just loved the polar bear. I may have laughed harder at him than anything else.

That evening we went over to Fremont Street. They have a light show on the ceiling over the street. It was so crazy!

Mommy, Daddy, and Uncle Brent went to see The Blue Man Group that night while I spent the night with Lolli and Pop. They said it was a fantastic show.

Day 5-

After breakfast we walked around the pools at Caesars. It is just gorgeous!

The cabanas had flat screen tvs in them!

We then went over to Circus Circus. They had live circus acts that were incredible!

We finished the day and our trip with 2 trips to Serendipity to have their famous "frozen hot chocolate"!

I started my dance class this week. It is a ballet/tap combo class. I love dressing up like a ballerina and love making noise with my tap shoes. Mommy has really been wanting a new camera and she finally got it Monday. I am not so excited because I kinda get tired of taking pictures. Luckily, we went to the Zoo Tuesday and Mommy got to try out her new camera on some animals instead of just me.

This actually may have been my favorite animal. It is called a grey-winged trumpeter, he was very interested in us and would follow us back and forth along the cage. They are actually used as "watch dogs" in South America because the make a loud trumpet warning sound hence the name.

I liked all the reptiles as well, I never really paid much attention to them at the zoo until now.

Wow I am really behind on posting! It will take several posts to catch up. A few weeks ago we went to lunch with some of Mommy's friends from work. There were 6 kids there and the oldest was Gavin who is 3. So as you can imagine our table was busy! Luckily, they put us in a separate room (very smart of them). We had a great time and hopefully will do it again soon! However, prior to this lunch I had kinda fallen into a horrible phase of misbehaving when going out to eat. Mommy said she had never really had trouble taking me places until then. Mommy and Daddy really had to work with me and I realized that I had to behave to be able to go places and have fun. Fortunately, this little phase only lasted a couple of weeks.

I decided I needed to make a post myself to better update everyone on Brooklyn as well as keep up with her myself. ***Warning kinda a long post***

First, I really want to know how we went from this: To this:

Wow, I know it is very cliche but time really does fly. My baby is no longer a baby and she will be the first one to tell you that. She has grown to be such a big girl! I really can't believe that in a few short months we will be celebrating her 3rd birthday!

Ok enough reminiscing, now onto what she is doing these days:

It is amazing to be able to see the world through a toddler's eyes. I am baffled daily on how smart she already is, but please don't take this post as bragging (or bragging too much I should say, I am her mother and allowed to be proud and brag a little) I really intend it to be an update. I will be the first to tell you she is far from perfect, and we definitely have our rough days. I was reminded of a old saying that has made me appreciate this phase more, "The days are long, but the years are short." I am trying to keep that in mind when I get a little (or a lot) frustrated. Twos I have found are a very peculiar age. She can go from hilarious, sweet and calm to beyond consoling in about 0.2 seconds. She has more of what I consider meltdowns then temper tantrums. I think most of which are due to her OCD (diagnosed by yours truly). Dealing with this is a learning process for the both of us. She is very analytical and particular and therefore gets stressed by what a normal toddler may not even notice or care about. For instance, if you know Brooklyn you know that she is obsessed with wipes and cleans everything including under her nose constantly. Where as most kids hate the bulb syringe, Brooklyn pretty much makes me "suck out her nose" every morning. She also is very particular about her clothes and we usually end up changing her outfit about 3 times before she is happy with it. She will say, "this isn't cute" "not fit" or "it not match." Oh and don't even get me started on shoes. She hates the heat and will start yelling in what I refer to as her evil voice to turn the air on when we get in the car. She has an amazing vocabulary so I won't even begin to list what all she can say. Lately, she has been talking with a pretty thick southern accent that we are trying to correct. She can count to probably 20 with occasional glitches here and there. She knows her ABC's but will only recite them when she wants to. She loves to sing songs and knows the lyrics by heart to many of her favorites. She will also make request for her favorites in the car such as Miley Cyrus "Party in the USA" and Beyonce "Single Ladies". I know, not exactly the most appropriate songs for a toddler, but she does like Taylor Swift as well and she is more child friendly right? She is usually pretty good about staying with you in stores and such, but has made a break for every now and then. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but give her about 5 minutes and she will warm up. However, she does better if you let her come to you rather then you approaching her. If I had to describe her in 2 words it would be smart and quirky.

Now a few of her favorite things:

I would have to say her absolute favorite thing to do is DANCE! If you have been to a wedding with her you know this. She is starting dance lessons in a couple of weeks and I really hope she loves it. She also loves watching movies and her favorites right now are: The Incredibles, Horton Hears a Who, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (she calls Chinese Meatballs?), Monster's INC., and Monsters VS Aliens. Her favorite foods are: mac and cheese, popcorn, M&Ms, soup, sausage, and bacon. Favorite toys: blocks, baby dolls, anything strawberry shortcake, and books. Well, she has one more favorite toy but it is kinda strange and goes along with her OCD. It is her soaps, yes I said soaps. She has a bucket full of lotion/soap bottles that she plays with like little figures. Why on earth do we spend money on toys. I guess that is about it on the favorites category.

Lets see, how about what other people say about her:

Obviously, everyone talks about how adorable she is (only halfway kidding ;) ) People do comment on how well she talks. Probably the most common comment I get is about how long her hair is. I love her hair, but boy does she have a lot of it. I get it cut every few weeks. People usually think she is older then she is and I think it is because of her hair and vocabulary. She is also very prissy and I think that kinda comes off as an older behavior.

How I feel about her:

I don't think I could ever express exactly how I feel about her. I have wanted a child as long as I can remember and she surpasses any expectation that I have ever had. Again very cliche but I love her more then I ever imagined I could love anything. It is very rewarding now to also know and see how much she loves me in return. We often have play arguments over who loves the other more. It is hard to imagine my life without her or before her. Being a parent has to be the hardest thing. I question myself daily on how to respond to things and my ability to raise her. Thankfully I have a wonderful supportive husband that is an excellent father and reassures me when I need it. I know I make a bunch of mistakes but just pray that with help from everyone in her life she will grow into a happy, sincere, and loving woman.

Well, I guess that is enough rambling and bragging for now. Let me know if there is any other things you would like to know about her. I leave you with a couple of pictures of how she would like to dress. She either wants to wear jammies or "princess" dresses. Talk about one extreme or the other. She also loves her rain boots (which don't exactly match much of anything).

My Great Uncle Mark went to be with Jesus last week. We will all miss him so very much. Although it was a sad weekend, it was nice to be able to spend it with family that we don't always get to see. Cousins are wonderful! I always love to see Kacie and Jordan and then getting to also see Laney, Emma, and Lucy was just icing on the cake. Laney is starting her senior year of high school and thinks she may want to do what Mommy does. Mommy invited her to come stay with us and go to work with her sometime. I really hope she gets a chance to, because she is so sweet and fun. Emma is just a couple of years older then me and is a great big sister to Lucy. Lucy is almost a year younger then me, but we are about the same size. She is very smart and talks great for her age. We all had a blast together. We all need to get together again soon, but under better circumstances. We love and miss you, Uncle Mark!

Last Thursday was E-Maw's Birthday and oh do I love Birthdays!!! Me and Mommy spent the day with E-Maw just hanging out and having fun! We started out the day having breakfast at Another Broken Egg Cafe, yummy! Then went shopping, which is always fun. We ended the day with dinner at Cocina Superior with everyone! Hope you had a wonderful day E-Maw, I love you!

4th of July Beach Trip!

We went to Panama City for the 4th of July weekend. This was my first trip to the beach. No one was sure how I was going to like the beach, considering I am a little OCD and don't like being dirty. To everyone's surprise, I LOVED the beach and sand! I even loved going in the water and jumping the waves. Me and Mommy would build sand castles, and me and Daddy would play in the ocean. It was fun to see our friends at the beach too, and they also played with me. Wally stayed with us and rode down with us. He is one of my best buddies and I was so happy to spend the weekend with him. His sister and her husband stayed with us Sunday night, they were fun too. We watched the fire works from our condo balcony and I was just in awe. I had actually fallen asleep before the show, but woke when I heard them. Oh boy was I glad I did, I love the fire works or star crackers as I call them. I asked where they went the next morning and told them bye before leaving the beach. Mommy said I was excellent in the car, eventhough I didn't even sleep a wink on the way down. Not only was a good in the car, but the whole trip. I only had a few little melt downs (like when I got water up my nose) and Mommy thought that was excellent for a long weekend with no naps and being in a new place. As a prize, we stopped and got pie and ice cream at Peach Park yummy!

These were a few of Mommy's attempt to get some nice pics at the beach. Josh also took some pictures (that I am sure are better) and we will post some of those soon!

They were sold out of beach view condos when we made our reservations, but we had a nice pond outside of ours.

Susie's Wedding and More Dance Videos!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Chris Harris! Saturday was one of my Mommy's good friends, Susie's Wedding. She looked beautiful and her Reception was a blast! Hope you have fun on your honeymoon.

Here I am waiting to leave for the wedding. I found a cute boy to play with!

We start by just running across the dance floor.

He ask me to dance and takes my hand.

I think now he is questioning what he has gotten himself into (notice his hand on his head).

I then decide dancing solo is the way to go. My dad was very happy with my decision.

Actually, the boy spun my around a little too fast and I was too scared to dance with him the rest of the night. He was very sweet and even apologized for spinning me to fast, but I was over it by then.

I thought maybe Pawpaw would be a safer bet.

Although, I was a little confused by his dance moves.

It was just easier for Pawpaw to hold me.

More Alabama Adventure and Pool

I Love Summer!!! We have been having so much fun, and summer has just started. We went back to Alabama Adventure and met Mrs. Mary, Laci, Mrs. Gay, Shelby and Jordan. We had a blast. The lazy river is still my favorite!

I guess all the playing and swimming wore Laci out.

After she woke up, we did manage to play more and get into some trouble together.

I love my shades and know that I am just too cool!

Splash Pad

Thursday we went to the splash pad in Gardendale. What a fun week! We met some of Mommy's friends from work and their kids there. I had fun playing with Laci and Gavin, and little Addison is adorable. I have been talking about Addison ever since and pretended to call her on the phone tonight. Can't wait to see everyone again soon.

Alabama Adventure

Tuesday, we went to Alabama Adventure for the first time. Mommy has a season pass, so we will be going a lot, YAY! I had a blast in the water park area. The amusement park, not so much since they really wouldn't let me ride much.

So what do you do when you have a long weekend, but it is raining?

You go to the Georgia Aquarium! I was amazed to see all the fish and animals there. It was great!

The otters may have been my favorite. The were so funny and cute.

Welcome to the DHARMA Initiative!

Last night was the highly anticipated series finale of Lost. I stayed with my grandparents so my parents could watch it in peace. So, I was not actually there for it, but my Mommy told me about it and showed me these pictures. Josh and Shelley had everyone over to watch and went all out ordering DHARMA gear and even a DHARMA cake. My parents seemed to have enjoyed it, eventhough they are disappointed the show is now over.

1st Swim of the Summer!

Wednesday we got to go swimming for the 1st time this summer. I love to swim and always have. Thank you to Mrs. Britney's Grandmother for having us over to swim.

I don't like having my hair messed with, but Mommy said I had to put it up if I wanted to swim.

Little Helper and Little Quirks

So, if you know me very well you know that I am a little quirky. Mommy says I have something called OCD, like my daddy. Not sure what that is, just know that I like to count things, organize, and clean. I also get a little out of whack when things just aren't right. Like, if my clothes don't match or fit. I don't think I have mentioned on here before, but my quirks caused a little issue when it came to potty training. A couple of weeks ago Mommy tried to get me to use the potty. I was all about the potty, just scared I would mess up my pretty new panties. Therefore, I started holding my pee and even went 20 hours without peeing. Mommy had to call the doctor and they said I needed to go back to diapers and wait a little while before trying again. This was my later conversation with Mommy:

Me: "Mommy?"
Mommy: "yes"
Me: "You member (remember) when I tried to use the potty?"
Mommy: "yes"
Me "Diapers made it all bedder (better), no more dirty panties!"

Mommy said I was crazy and she could wash the panties, but I am not so sure yet.

Well, my newest thing is I want to do everything like Mommy and Daddy or anyone else big for that matter. I am really into cooking. My Aunt RaRa gave me the cutiest little apron to wear. I also have gotten to where I like to carry a bag/purse like Mommy. I have my own cell phone too. Yesterday, I asked if it was nap time yet and she said yes if I wanted it to be. So I headed back to bed. She was about to pick me up and put me in bed and I yelled wait. She let me down and I ran and got my cell phone. I said "phew, I need to put this here" and sat it beside the bed. Mommy thought it was funny, but I was just doing like her and Daddy. Mommy also says I talk more then anyone she knows, and that is saying a lot if you have met E-Maw and Ra Ra. Oh well, I guess that is just me!

Homestead Hollow and Pump It Up!

Yesterday, we went to Pump It Up for some open playtime. It was excellent. I love jumping and the slides. I even went down the big slide all by myself.

LSU Crawfish Boil

Today was the annual LSU crawfish boil. I am not so sure about eating those bug looking things, but everyone seemed to enjoy them. My Great Uncles came in town and I just love playing with them. They are hilarious and it never fails that Uncle Lou brings me my favorite, M&Ms. Unfortunately, Mommy was sick and didn't get to go to the Crawfish boil, but there is always next year.

Not sure why we celebrated a Mexican holiday, but I enjoyed everyone coming over for dinner and dessert. I love tacos so that was great and this Jello Mexican flag dessert my mom made was very yummy. So, Happy Cinco de Mayo, whatever that is?
